Gunter Behnisch, Frei Otto, Olympic Stadium, Munich, 1968-72: Freed from the burden of the past, cheerful, and modern: this is how Germany wanted to present itself at the Olympic Games of 1972. Working with the landscape architect Wolfgang Leonhardt, Gunter Behnisch planned the area of Munich design
